Everything starts in the No Progress Discord. Join to get access to the pre-configured 3.3.5a client with all addons included, server announcements, and raid scheduling. The client download is only available through Discord.

Register on the website to create your game account. The easiest way to play is to grab the pre-configured client from our Discord. It already has the realmlist set and all the guild addons installed, so we strongly recommend going that route.

If you'd rather use a 3.3.5a client from somewhere else, you can download a clean one from ChromieCraft's download page (Windows, with macOS and Linux instructions). With an outside client you'll need to set your realmlist yourself: open your WoW folder, find Data/enUS/realmlist.wtf (or your locale folder) and set it to:

set realmlist wow.noprogress.cc

Just note that an outside client won't include our addons, so you'll have to add those manually.

This is a Horde only server. Pick your class, race, and name. When you spawn in your starting area, talk to the Progression Guide NPC nearby to choose your adventure path:

Classic Adventure: Start at level 1 and progress through Vanilla, TBC, and WotLK with 3x XP rates.
Classic at 60: Start at level 60 in Orgrimmar with all Vanilla content unlocked, ready for Classic endgame raids.
Through the Dark Portal: Start at level 70 in Shattrath, ready for TBC raids (Karazhan attunement required).
Wrath of the Lich King: Start at level 80 in Dalaran, ready for WotLK raids with pre-raid gear from vendors.

The guild client comes with every addon pre-installed and ready to go. The full list is below. A few need a quick one-time setup, covered in the next step.

Hit Escape and go to Interface. Under the Game tab, make these changes:

Help: Untick Tutorials.
Names: Make sure My Name and NPC Names are checked.
Nameplates: Press Shift + V to turn off friendly NPC health bars and nameplates so your screen stays clean.
Status Text: Check everything except Display Percentages.
Action Bars: Tick Bottom Left Bar, Bottom Right Bar, and Always Show Action Bars. Untick Lock Action Bars.

Then set up the few addons that need it:

Details: Open it and configure the meters to your preference.
MoveAnything: Type /move to reposition, scale, or hide any UI element.
NotPlater: Type /np, go to Templates, and activate the Kol9yN template.

World Chat: Type /join world once to add a dedicated World tab for our cross-faction world chat. Your client will rejoin it automatically every login.

Depending on the path you chose: WotLK players, head to the vendors by the Dalaran sewer entrance and talk to the Pre-Raid Quartermaster for ilvl 200 gear. TBC players, find the TBC Quartermaster in Shattrath City, by the flight master, for heroic dungeon gear. Classic at 60 players, talk to the Classic Quartermaster in Orgrimmar, at the mailbox by the auction house, for dungeon-quality pre-raid gear. Vanilla from level 1, gear up through dungeons as you level! Enchants and supplies are available from nearby vendors.

Pick a spec and set your talents. Check the Class Guides section below for recommended PvE builds for your class. Spells auto-teach on level up, but visit your class trainer to make sure you have everything.
