Server Help & Commands

Everything you can do on the server is listed below. Chat commands are typed into the chat box, including the leading dot, then sent with Enter (for example: .chat Hello!).

World Chat

One server-wide channel, shared across both factions and on by default.

.chat <message>Talk to everyone on the server.
.chat offHide world chat. Use .chat on to bring it back.
/join worldOptional: adds a dedicated “World” tab you can type into directly. Your client re-joins it automatically next time.

Player Bots

Bring your own characters online as AI companions, or link a friend’s account to run theirs. The world is also full of random bots.

Your bots

.playerbots bot add <Name>Log one of your characters in as a bot.
.playerbots bot remove <Name>Log that bot back out.
.playerbots bot init=<quality>Gear a bot: white, green, blue, epic, legendary, or auto.
.playerbots bot levelupLevel a bot up.
.playerbots bot refreshReset a bot’s gear, talents, and consumables.

Linking another account

.playerbots account setKey <key>Set a security key on your account.
.playerbots account link <Account>Link another account so you can run its characters.
.playerbots account linkedAccountsView your linked accounts.
.playerbots account unlink <Account>Remove a link.

Controlling bots in-game

Whisper a bot or use party chat to direct it. Whisper help to any bot to see everything it can do. Common orders: follow, stay, attack, and flee. The full reference lives on the Playerbots Wiki.

Helper NPCs

Found in every capital city. Talk to them to save yourself a trip.

Gabriella (Assistant)Heirlooms, glyphs, gems, elixirs, buff food, profession skill-ups for gold, flight path unlocks, faction/race change, and heroic instance resets.
BeastmasterLets any class tame and use hunter pets. Summon one anywhere with .beastmaster.
EnchanterApplies enchantments to your gear on the spot.
Dungeon MasterCustom level-scaled dungeon challenges and a roguelike mode. Locations are listed below.

Quality-of-life shortcuts.

.aoeloot onLoot all nearby corpses at once (.aoeloot off to disable).
.beastmasterSummon the Beastmaster (hunter pets for any class).
.petname rename <name>Rename your pet (.petname cancel to abort).
.q1v1 unratedQueue for an unrated 1v1 arena match.
.q1v1 ratedQueue rated (register a team at the Arena 1v1 NPC first).
.q1v1 statsView your 1v1 arena stats.

Account-wide mountsA mount learned on one character is usable by all of them.
Auto-learn spellsClass spells and abilities are learned automatically as you level, no trainer trips.
Individual ProgressionThe world is tuned to the classic expansions; advance through Vanilla, then TBC, then WotLK at your own pace.
Dungeon & raid scalingInstance difficulty adjusts to your group size, solo or grouped.
Stocked Auction HouseKept supplied by bots so you can buy and sell freely.
Starter guildNew characters are placed in a starter guild automatically.
